Not a summary. The five things worth having.
Turn what you watch, and what you say, into work you can use.
Bring a YouTube link or any talk, podcast or transcript, and Distill pulls out key points, product ideas, articles, social posts and teaching material, each traced to the words it came from and kept in your Library. Talk your own ideas through and they come back in your voice, ready to remix, or to publish as a Thoughtcast.

From what you watch
Learn from anyone, and keep it.
A YouTube video, a TikTok, Instagram, X or Facebook clip, a podcast or a transcript: Distill pulls out the five pillars, credits who said what, and keeps it all in your Library to learn from, react to and build on.
- Any public video link, or a direct audio or video file
- The five pillars, traced to the passages behind them
- Your Point of View: take a stance on what you heard
From what you say
Your own voice, made useful.
Talk an idea through, or mark your own talk, sermon, lecture or podcast as yours. Outputs come back in the first person, with the stories and lines only you can tell, ready to remix into new posts.
- Talk it through, up to 30 minutes
- Stories & Lines, and Remix from your own material
- Publish it as a Thoughtcast, with its own page and link
From what you watch: a real example
One passage in. Useful work out.
“To me, it's this four-step framework. Trigger, decision, action, and feedback. So, there's going to be a trigger. An invoice becomes due. The inventory runs low or it's tax time.”
- Key pointSaid in source
Building a business in the agentic era can be modeled as a four-step framework: trigger, decision, action, and feedback, with the strongest businesses owning at least two of the three controllable steps (trigger, action, feedback).
- Product ideaDerived by Distill
Trigger to Feedback Ledger: a compliance and audit layer that logs the trigger, decision, action, and outcome of every agentic transaction so businesses can prove what an AI agent did and why.
- Teaching materialSaid in source
Define each of the four stages in your own words using the speaker's example of an invoice becoming due.
How it works
Three ways in. Five pillars out.
- Talk it through
Record yourself thinking out loud, for up to 30 minutes. Pause, pick up again, and Distill works from what you said.
- Bring a link
A public video on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X or Facebook, or a direct link to an audio or video file. It's transcribed for you.
- Paste a transcript
Paste text you already have, or drop in a transcript file from a meeting, lecture or podcast.
- Key Points
- The claims worth remembering, one sentence each, grounded in what was said.
- Product Ideas
- Products or services the material suggests, each a name and a one-line pitch.
- Articles
- Angles with a working headline and an opening paragraph to develop.
- Social Posts
- Short posts for X, LinkedIn, Threads or Bluesky, each built on a specific point.
- Teaching Material
- Discussion guides and exercises, ready for a class, a team or a small group.
On your own recordings there's a sixth: Stories & Lines, the stories from your life and work and the lines worth saying again, kept close to your words.
Grounded, not invented
Every item shows where it came from.
Under each output, a line says how it relates to the source. Source basis opens the exact passages behind it, who said them when the source names them, and the time when it has timings. When something doesn't line up, like a number that differs from what was said, Distill says so instead of smoothing it over.
Keep what you'll use, set aside what can wait, and edit freely: if you change a fact, the original stays on record.
- Said in sourceThe item matches passages found in the transcript.
- Derived by DistillAn idea Distill drew from the passages shown, not a quote.
- Basis needs reviewSomething doesn't line up, and the reason is given beside it.
- From your recordingOn your own recordings: it comes from what you said.
In your own voice
Your stories, your lines, your views.
Mark a source as your own, or talk it through, and Distill drafts in first person. Stories & Lines keeps the stories only you can tell and the lines worth saying again. Remix then builds new posts and articles only from your own material: nothing added that you didn't say.
Tune how it writes for you in Your Voice, and take a position on someone else's talk with Your Point of View, so Remix can turn it into a post in your own words.
- Your stories and lines
- Key points and drafts from your recordings
- The views you've stated
Your raw thinking, kept and shared.
Publish your own recording as it was said, with the notes you choose, on a page with its own cover and link. It previews properly in WhatsApp, gathers on your profile, and only you see how it's being heard.
Open to invited accounts.

Questions
Before you join
What can I bring?
Record yourself with Talk it through (up to 30 minutes), paste a link to a public video on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X or Facebook or to an audio or video file, or paste or upload a transcript. Up to 25 sources a day while Distill is in early access.
Are the outputs finished work, or checked facts?
They're drafts to review and edit. Each one shows how it relates to the source, and Source basis opens the exact passages behind it. A passage shows what was said; it doesn't confirm that a claim is true.
Can I share or publish what Distill makes from someone else's video?
You can share a single item as a read-only link, which shows the source's title, and Distill credits the speaker in what it writes. Publishing a recording as a Thoughtcast is only for your own: you confirm it's yours, and that anyone else who speaks agreed.
Can it write as me?
Yes. Mark a source as your own, or use Talk it through, and drafts come out in first person. Your Voice settings shape how Distill writes for you, and Remix builds new posts and articles only from your own material. They're drafts in your voice to review, not an exact imitation.
How do I use what it makes?
Copy any item, share a read-only link to it, or export: Markdown for every kind, PDF for everything except social posts, and Word for articles and teaching material. Mark items Keep or Later, and Continue brings back what you planned to use next.
What is a Thoughtcast?
Your own recording, published as it was said, with the notes you choose, on a page with its own cover and link. It's open to invited accounts. More about Thoughtcast.
